Part of the reason i have been in London was to participate in "Fashion on the lock" an exhibition of 20 graduate designers selling their collections alongside each other in Camden middle market. It was such a good experience selling our clothes straight to customers and gaining invaluable market research observing which parts of the collection were selling well and who the customer base was. I'm pleased to confirm my diffusion line went down a treat particularly with the Berlin tourists! Lets just say i will definitely be making more bomber jackets and linen & leather Ts! The whole experience was made all the more enjoyable as i got to collaborate alongside my good friend Yasmin Bawa. Her menswear collection went down a storm with her screen printed tshirts and hand dyed and printed bags! Yasmin's label is really beginning to take off with her graduate collection being featured on websites such as "HYPEBEAST" and in a number of menswear magazines including "1883" and "Papercut."
Although i enjoyed the whole market experience i am looking forward to the launch of my official website even more which will have the option to purchase parts of the collection through an online store.
